Loving daughter of Willard & Viola Davis, first wife to Dr. Henry Myers, and mother of three children.

Mary was a woman ahead of her time. Married to a young medical student in Chicago, she worked hard and supported them both while he got his degree.

Upon his graduation, they moved to California where she pined for the thunderstorms and seasons of her Wisconsin youth.

Her creativity and intelligence found little outlet given the social constraints of the time, but she poured her passion and natural teaching ability into her children.

After her divorce from Hank, she never remarried but did fulfill one of her lifelong dreams: obtaining a college degree, which she did with Summa Cum Laude honors.

At the end of her life, she moved in with her daughter who lived at the time in Washington State, which reminded her so much of her childhood home in Milwaukee. According to her wishes, her ashes were scattered in one of the most beautiful places on earth, the Bloedel Nature Reserve on Bainbridge Island.
