Services Set Saturday for Mrs Anderson 92 Mrs Christopher C Anderson 92 died at her residence at 268 Corbin Ave Thursday after a brief illness Graveside services for Mrs Anderson will be held at 1 pm Saturday in Riverside Cemetery £ Month i with the Rev George D Heath officiating Mrs Anderson was the widow of Christopher "Kit" Anderson Macon civil engineer Bibb County surveyor and columnist for The Macon Telegraph She had made her home in recent years with her daughter Mrs John Atwood Blount The former Elizabeth Burkett Mrs Anderson was the daughter of Kimball Franklin Burkett and Louise Chappell Burkett She was bora April 14 1876 in Twiggs County She attended the Auburn Institute a private school in Jeffersonville for her elementary and high school studies and later studied at the Georgia Normal Scholl in Athens She lived 'most of her life in Macon Following the death of her husband Mrs Anderson was associated' for many years with her stepson the late Eugene Anderson in the Georgia-Alabama Business College She was a member of the Old Richland Restoration League and was an active member of the- Sidney Lanier Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy claiming the distintion of being the widow of a Confederate soldier She became active in the Business and Professional Women's Club in its early years and was recognized in recent years with honorary mem- bership in the organization She was an active member of the First Baptist Church the Federation of Republican Women and the Macon-Bibb County Humane Society until recently Survivors include two daughters Mrs Blount and Mrs Wil-liftm Bertrand Acker of Austin Texas a granddaughter Mrs Robert Earl White of Dallas Texas a sister Miss Claire Burkett of Macon two stepdaughters Mrs Walter Massey Sr and Mrs Will Northrop both of Macon - The family requests that flowers be omitted Memorial Chaptel has charge of arrangements
