During high school, Kayla worked at the Concordia After School Program, Concordia. She also enjoyed cheerleading and was a member of FBLA, where she served as a district vice president. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde.
Survivors include her parents, Charles and Denise Cyr, of Clyde; sister, Laci Cyr, of Clyde; brother, Michael Cyr, of Clyde; boyfriend, Kaleb Stefek, of Holyrood; and grandparents, Dennis and Diane Kearn, of Concordia. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gail and Pauline Cyr.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating, followed by burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Chaput Mortuary, 310 Washington, P.O. Box 291, Clyde 66938, and after 6 p.m. at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Guardians of the St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Clifton-Clyde Teachers Association Scholarship Fund, in care of the mortuary.
