Backes: - Mrs. Catherine Backes, who for the past two years has not been able to leave her bed, died Sunday at the age of 81 years. She leaves five daughters and three sons to mourn their loss. The funeral was held Tuesday morning from the Catholic church south of Wakefield and the remains laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery in Wakefield.
