Obit: Lou Ellen (Everett),82,of Waukegan, Illinois, formerly of Gwinnett and Barrow Counties died Monday, June 21, 2010, following a brief illness. Lou Ellen was born June 4, 1928 in Auburn, Georgia. She was the daughter of Walter Lee Everett and Carrie Lee (Wilkerson) Everett of Suwanee, Georgia. On August 9, 1946, she married Robert Andrew Clark, of Gainesville, Georgia. They were married almost 50 years prior to his death in 1996. After living for a short time in Georgia, Lou Ellen and Andrew moved to Illinois where they made their loving home. Lou Ellen and Robert Andrew Clark had three children: daughter, Kathy E. Petroshius; daughter Patricia A. DeLancey and son-in-law, Brian DeLancey; son Kenneth A. Clark; grandaughters: Angela Petroshius; Kristen Petroshius; Erin C Barnlund and grandson-in-law Brent Barnlund; grandson Jacob Clark; and great-granddaughter Savannah Lou Barnlund; brothers, George Everett and Roger Everett; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lou worked for a short time at Abbott Labs in the 1940's, and for the Plasco Corporation, in the 1970's. However, her ultimate priority in life was taking care of her family, which she accomplished through her cooking, nurturing, homemaking and creative skills. Lou was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Andrew Clark; parents Walter Lee and Carrie Lee (Wilkerson) Everett; brothers Leroy, John Kelly, Jerry, Randall Everett and sister Pauline (Everett) Deaton; grandparents, Charlie and Sallie (Prince) Everett, Steve and Mary E. (Petty) Wilkerson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 26, 2010 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Peachtree Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Suwanee, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lou's memory to the family.
