Mrs. Julia Smith Adcock, 74, of Route 1 Box 690, Andersonville, died Sunday, February 9, 1997 in the Flint River Community Hospital. Graveside services were held at 3 pm Monday, February 10, in the OGLETHORPE MEMORIAL GARDENS CEMETERY, the Pastor Eric Murray officiated.
Mrs. Adcock was a native of Macon County, she was born April 27, 1922, the daughter of James and Carrie Smith. She retired as a secretary for the Macon County Board of Education, she was a member of the U.D.C. and a member of Mt. Zion-St.Luke Lutheran Church.
Survivors are her brother, Clyde P. Smith, Sr., of Andersonville, Sister, Mrs. Edna Smith Gay of Fort Gaines, and number of nieces and nephews.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
