KENTON - Services for Edwin Earl Banning, 69, of Rt. 1, who died at 1 p.m. Tuesday at his home, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Epworth Methodist Church in Marion. Burial will be in Lee Cemetery in Dudley Township. Rev. Robert Byler will officiate.
Mr. Banning was born in Marion County on May 7, 1894, to George and Eva (Piffer) Banning. He was superintendent of the Pleasant Township school in Marion.
On Nov. 26, 1915, he married Callie Cramer, who survives. Also surviving are a foster son, Richard Gantt, Marion; a foster daughter, Mrs. Paul (Idellia) Cramer of Lima; six foster grandchildren; and two brothers, Norton of Tiffin, and Orville of Kenton.
Friends may call at the Schindewolf-Steiner-Stevens Funeral Home after 7 tonight.
