Obituary:
Herman Dickbernd, 88 years old, died at his residence 927 South Fifth Street at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. Dickbernd, a retired coal miner formerly worked in the mines west of St. Charles. He is a native of Germany and came to the United States and St. Charles about 60 years ago residing here ever since. He is survived by several grown children. His wife Mrs. Catherine Dickbernd died several years ago. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the residence to the St. Johns Evangelical church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will follow in the cemetery of that congregation.
