Bert Bailey Died
Word reached Britt August 9 advising of the death of Bert Bailey, 82, long time resident of Detroit, Mich. Death came while in a hospital at Eloise, Mich.
Bert Bailey, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Bailey, of Britt, was born in Wisconsin and came to Hancock county with his parents when nine years old. He grew to manhood in this vicinity and is the first of seven children in the Bailey family to die.
Surviving Mr. Bailey are his wife at Detroit, two sons and one daughter: J. A. Bailey and Mrs. Gladys Cosgriff, Britt, and Lewellyn Bailey, Kanawha; three sisters: Mrs. Wm. Fillenwarth and Mrs. F. E. Heacox, Britt, Miss Alice Bailey, St. Paul, Minn., three brothers: Edgar, Cherokee, Joe, Cedar Falls, and Ora, Downer, Calif.

He married (1) Bertha M Anderson 17 Aug 1899 in Hancock County, Iowa.
He married (2) Alphia A Morlan 30 Jul 1921 in Holland, Allegan, Michigan.
