Services for Rena Barnett, 81, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 1989, in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, and Jo Carr, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 1989, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Jacksboro and married William T. Barnett on Dec. 23, 1928, in Crosbyton. She was a housewife and a member of Wake Community Women´s Club, and First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Miller, Sept. 11, 1973; Lucy Adams, a sister, Feb. 4, 1989, and a grandson, Ryan Wayne Deerman, Sept. 24, 1979.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jimmy of Lubbock; three daughters, Betty Pierce and Ann Hays, both of Crosbyton, and Sue Deerman of La Mesa, NM; a brother, Leslie Miller of Crosbyton; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
