"Delores I. Gillis, of Merrillville died Tuesday, December 31, 2002. She was 83.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lonnie Gillis of Merrillville; two sons, Robert Koedyker of Warsaw, Ind. and Lonnie Jr. (Peggy) Gillis of Chesterton; a daughter, Linda (Tom) Herbert of Merrillville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Chester Brechner and two sisters, Betty Lou (Bill) Overhulser both of South Bend and Madelyon Bogart of Indianapolis.
She was formerly the owner/operator of the Kloset Boutique and Delores' Figure Salon both located in Merrillville.
Private family visitation and funeral services, Rev. Nancy Kahaian officiating, were conducted Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville. Interment was at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association."
