Otto A. Debes, 101, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, in Ness City. He was born April 14, 1910, in Odin to Alois and Hedwig Debes.
He married Susan A. Lang on May 30, 1933.
He was a farmer in Ness County. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Brookhart; three grandchildren, Kim Curtis and husband, Steve, Dan Brookhart and wife, Brenda, Steve Brookhart and wife, Julie; and six great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Curtis, Chase Curtis, Alison Brookhart, Logan Brookhart, Rachel Brookhart and Riley Brookhart, all of the Kansas City area.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ness City; burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Ness City. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, and from 6 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the church. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Ness County Bank Building Foundation in care of the funeral home.
