Mary Landry, 88, passed away on June 23, 2010, at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Revs. Nay Vickers and Larry LaFleur will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation will be noon-9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
She will be remembered for her generousity, love of cooking and baking for her loved ones, especially on holidays. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Vincent Baptist Church, Southside Baptist Church and Choupique Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky LeDoux and husband Kent; grandchildren, Gayla Wooster and her husband David, Mike Landry and his wife Christine, Todd Landry, Shawn Landry and his wife Leslie, Scotty LeDoux, Sarah Landry and Blaine Landry; 13 great- grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and brother Dan "Tucker" Jones and his wife Grace.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gladu Pete Landry; sons, Robin Landry and Tim Landry; sister, Lola LeDoux; and brother, Bill Jones.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital and Acadian Ambulance for their professionalism and compassion.
