Francis M. "Mike" Chichester, 92, of Vienna, died March 5, 2008 at Cedar Grove Personal Care. He was born September 18, 1915 in Parkersburg a son of the late Charles Rector and Hattie Mick Chichester.

He was retired from Monongahela Power after 27 years of service, was a member of Baptist Temple and was a US Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He was a 50 year member of the Vienna Masonic Lodge #172 AF & AM, a 32 Degree Mason and a member of the Nemesis Shrine. He also was a 50 year member of both the Scottish Rite Bodies and Knights Templar and a member of Grand Council of Royal Select Masters. Most of all, Mike enjoyed the time he spent on his tractor at his farm on Pumpkin Knob.

He is survived by two daughters, Sue Woodward and husband Jeff of Parkersburg, Sharon Rogers of Fenton, MI; two step children, Robert Chichester and wife Judy of Belpre, OH, Doris Ingram and husband June of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Benjamin Woodward and wife Yvette of Parkersburg, Whitney Rogers and wife Nancy of Reedsville, NC; Amanda Ross and husband Gerald of Rudyard, MI; four great grandchildren, Aubra Ross, Robert, William and Michael Rogers.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Freda Robinson Chichester in 1981, second wife, Selma Devol Chichester in 2000; one son-in-law Richard Rogers; nine brothers and sisters.

Services will be Friday 11:00 Am at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Larry Dale officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Masonic Graveside Rites by Vienna Masonic Lodge #172. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
