Gertrude Anne Lee Curling, who would have been 94 on Jan. 19, died Jan. 5, 1998. She was born in 1904.
Mrs. Curling was one of the original founding family members of St. Matthews Church where she sang in the choir. She was one of the early members of T.A.R.C. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis P. Curling; brother, Leo C. Farrell; and two children, Nancy E. Curling and D. Paul Curling.
Survivors include her daughters, Annemarie Bonko and her husband, Larry, of Virginia Beach, and Christa Gregory and her husband, Bill, of Moyock, N.C.; a son, Herman Curling and his former wife, Kathy Greenlee; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. today in the Church of the Ascension, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. For any further information, please call 430-3742.
