Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Jeff Messer, chaplain of Childers's Place, officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Dorothy was born July 18, 1930, in Amarillo to Louie and Bertha Vogel. She married Jack Davis on Oct. 31, 1950, in Portales, N.M.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past Worthy Matron. Dorothy also was a member of the Methodist church in Wildorado and of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Davis, in 1997.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Davis of Amarillo; a son, Walter Davis and wife Beverly of Hereford; two daughters, Diane Meyers and husband John of Portland, Ore., and Pam Stork and husband Arnold of Dumas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Idlewild Community Church, in care of Joan Kaye, P.O. Box 132, Eagles Nest, NM 87718; or Shriners Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 325, Amarillo, TX 79105.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
