Per contributor Karen Hines:
Clarence Edward Beach was married at least 3 times
1st. to Mary Rella LaClair 1/12/1912 Bad Axe, Huron Co., MI. Divorced ca. 1920 - 1921.
2nd. to Nellie Smith 1922. Nellie died 1926 in Saginaw, MI.
In 1930 he said he was married and in 1940 he said he was a widower but he didn't marry his last wife, Rose A. (Penny) LaDrig until 8/20/1955 Rose died 1963 Saginaw, MI.
I have no information as to Clarence working in the coal mines. Instead I have him as a laborer for odd jobs in 1910, owning his own gardner business in 1917, a farm labor in 1920, a laborer for a steam railroad in 1930 and a laborer in a park working on a WPA Project.
