Johnnie McElroy
(June 12, 1927 - June 17, 2010)

Johnnie McElroy, 83, of Dardanelle, AR, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Dardanelle Nursing Center in Dardanelle, AR. The daughter of John and Ora Floe Crites Kitchens, she was born June 12, 1927 in Rover, AR. She was a nurses' aide with Dardanelle Nursing Home. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed gardening and playing the guitar. She was a member of the Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church in Dardanelle. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed McElroy her parents; a brother, Maxie Norris.

She is survived by her 3 Children, Jeanette de la Cruz of Ft. Smith, Arthur Newell of Loretto, TN, Ralph Newell of Hector; 11 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren; 5 brothers, William Norris of Dardanelle, Claudie Norris of Dardanelle, Charles Norris of Dardanelle, James Norris of Hot Springs, Johnny Lee Norris of Dardanelle; a sister, Ida Rich of Hector.

Graveside Service will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 21, 2010 at New Hope Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. An open visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to feed the Children.
