Mrs. Mary Matheny died at her home in Clay Center Friady (sic), November 28. She was 70 years of age. She is survived by her adopted son, Wilbur Matheny, and his wife and children of Lincoln, and her sisters, Mrs. N. O. Deines and Mrs. Art Lobb of Clay Center and other relatives. Mrs. Matheny formerly lived in Marshall in both the Illinois and Hedge Valley districts. Her husband, Ed Matheny, died in November, 1930. Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock at the Emmanual church (sic) Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the Clay Center cemetery (sic).
