Mr. Johnnie Maloy Anderson, Sr. age 77 of Blackshear died Thursday night at his residence following an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Pierce County.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Rowland Anderson, a son Walkie Anderson, his parents Walkie and Eva McCarthy Anderson, 4 brothers Harold Anderson, Russell Anderson, Aubrey Anderson, and Cleo Anderson and 2 sisters Dorothy Crews and Lavada Williams.

Mr. Anderson was a retired Auto Mechanic and was of the Church of God faith. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by 2 sons Johnnie Anderson, Jr. and Kevin Anderson of Blackshear, 2 daughters Rebecca Anderson and Eva Hayden both of Hoboken, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a sister Laverne Crosby of Waycross and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 4 until 6pm at Smith Funeral Home.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
