ROCHESTER - Harland Boggs, 74, of Rochester died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1931, in Springfield, the son of Arthur and Ethel Boggs. He married Roberta Gideon in 1950 in Edinburg. A son, Ricky Boggs, preceded him in death.
Mr. Boggs retired as a mechanic from the state of Illinois.
Survivors: wife, Roberta; five sons, Harland Eugene (wife, Bonnie) Boggs of Spaulding, Terry Boggs of Topeka, Glenn Boggs of Manito, Jeffrey Boggs of Edinburg and Steven (wife, Judith) Boggs of Rochester; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Bowen of Waverly; three brothers, Arthur Boggs of Taylorville, Ennis (wife, Rebecca) Boggs of Virden and Lester (wife, Mary) Boggs of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services: 7 p.m. Thursday, Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester, the Rev. Charles Campbell officiating.
