G. W. Price, age 70 years, 8 months, and five days died at his home at Dodson, Louisiana, March 16, 1930 after an illness of about one year.
Mr. Price was born in Henry County, Alabama, July 11, 1859. He resided there until 1904 when he moved to Dodson, La. During the time he resided in Alabama he married Miss Ethelindy Riley, September 24, 1879. To this union there were born nine children, six girls and three boys, all of which are living except one girl and one boy.
The funeral services were held March 17, at Zion Hill Cemetery by Rev. Stokes of Winnfield, La.
Those surviving Mr. Price are his wife, Mrs. G. W. Price, Mrs. W. W. Kornegay, Mrs. R. W. Hughes, Mr. G. W. Price, Jr., all of Dodson; Mrs. J. L. Fox, Ferriday; Mrs. F. H. Paige of Rayville; Mrs. B. L. House, Winnfield, and S. B. Price, Shreveport and twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
