Amanda was the daughter of Burrell Borders and his wife Mary Elizabeth Reynolds Borders. She was born in Pickens county,SC and died in Atlanta, Fulton county, Ga., following abdominal surgery. Her home was in Covington, Newton county, Ga. She was the wife of James William Hutchins and the mother of two children, James Edward and Jennie White Hutchins, who are pictured in this memorial. After her death, her two children were raised by their paternal grandparents--John Francis Marion and Sarah McCart Hutchins.
