Doris Ellen Kendall, 86, of Wabash IN died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 9:35 pm at the Wabash Skilled Care Center in Wabash. She was born July 16, 1921 in North Manchester, Indiana to Guy O. and Mary Ethel (Dillman) Miller.
She married Isaac William "Ike" Kendall in North Manchester, Indiana on October 21, 1945; he died January 3, 2002.
Doris was a 1939 graduate of Central High School in North Manchester, and attended Manchester College 1 year. She was a former member and organist for the South Pleasant United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Kenapocomoco Home Ec Club, both of Silver Lake. She currently was a member of the Richvalley United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her Daughter, Mary (Bill) Evans of Wabash, IN; Son, Robert Neil Kendall of Ward, CO; Sister, Carolyn Jenkins of Kokomo, IN; 2 Grandsons, Brian Evans of Wabash, IN, John (Keri) Evans of Peru, IN; 4 Great-Grandchildren, Daryn Yentes of LaFontaine, IN, Madyson Evans, and Layne Evans, both of Lagro, IN, and Morgan Evans of Peru, IN.
Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 10:00am with Pastor Forrest Bowers officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash, Indiana. Friends may call 4-8pm, Tuesday, July 24 at the funeral home.Preferred memorial is Wabash County Cancer Society.
