BROOKS - Hattie M. Bell, 79, died Jan. 7 at a Waterville nursing home. She was born in Oakfield, Jan. 23, 1895, daughter of Hartwell and Cora (Corser) Hersey.
She is survived by her husband Cornelius Bell of Brooks; one daughter, Mrs. Avie Elwell of Brooks; step-mother, Mrs. Winnie Hersey of Smyrna Mills; two half-brothers and one half-sister, one great-granddaughter, severla nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Friday, 2 p.m. at the Brooks Congregational Church, with Rev. Charles Heslem officiating. Spring burial will be in the Rose Cemetery, Brooks. Friends may call at the Rackliffe Funeral Home, Belfast, Thursday, 7 - 8 p.m. (Thanks to Mary John for the bio)
