The spouse of Joseph Grant Rogers (1888-1957) of Montpelier, Blackford Co., Indiana. Grant and Minnie had only one child, Paul Loren Rogers (1917-1988) of Denver, CO. Minnie died when Paul was only 4yrs. old. It is believed that Minnie died of "pulmonary tuberculosis" while on a visit and is buried somewhere in Montpelier, Indiana. Her death certificate says "Montpelier Cemetery", but today there is no cemetery by that name. My siblings and I are still searching for her place of burial. The Funeral Record that we have obtained says that Minnie was buried in the I.O.O.F. (Oddfellows) cemetery. There, among 5 other Rogers relatives, is an unmarked 6th space. Could this be our Grandma Minnie's final resting place? A probe of the unmarked gravesite revealed nothing. It is still a possibility that Minnie is buried here and the wooden casket has rotted away. We will probably never know for sure, short of having the site dug up and searched for any remains. I will leave that for future generations to decide.
