Mr. Noel Christian Barlitt, 67 of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday (June 15, 2010) at the Satilla Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 25, 1942 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Mr. Barlitt had lived in Miami for several years before moving to Pierce County in the 70's. He was retired from CSX where he had worked as a switchman and conductor. Mr. Barlitt was of the Baptist faith and loved hunting, fishing and mud bogging. He was a son of the late Max Dale & Una Pearl Brown Barlitt and he was also preceded in death by a brother, Laurence Dale Barlitt.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Austin Barlitt of Blackshear; a daughter and son-in-law, Latisha & Michael Moore of Blackshear; a son, Buck Adams of Blackshear; a brother, David Alan Barlitt of Ellijay; 5 grandchildren, Brittany Moore, Mikey Moore, Zach Adams, Payton Adams, Wednesday Adams; four sisters-in-law, Deanna Austin of Donnellon, Fl, Grace (Stephen Bacon of Blackshear, Irene (Steven) Campbell of Knoxville, TN and Terry (Roger) Goins of Mt. Airy, NC; two brothers-in-law, George Austin of Siloam, NC and Edward Austin of Mt. Airy and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Visitation:
Visitation for Mr. Barlitt will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010, from 2 until 4 pm at the funeral home.
Service:
