Obituary for Gesina Ann Kuhl-Kamlage-Buehler

Another sudden death took place in this vicinity last Saturday, April 18th making several which have occurred lately and in this case Mrs. Anna Buehler, age nearly 63 years, was taken without warning from the world. she was the mother of Mrs. John Ahgrim of Cook street and had living in the former, Young farm house on the Fahning farm with her son George, since last fall when she left the Kuhfal house on Washington street in this village.
The day before good Friday, she drove to Barrington to church and past the day driving though out the country visiting relatives with her daughter, going home at night in good health, latter complaining of a headache. George Buehler found her at 5 o'clock the next morning, laying on the floor near her bed in her night dress. she did not seem to be dead and assistance was called. However a physician said death had taken place about an house before she was found. She was known to sleep close to the edge of the bed and probably fell while dying.
Dr. Taylor, the coroner, was summoned and a jury of Barrington men rendered a verdict of death from heart failure cause by a slight but lingering heart trouble.
Mrs. Buehler's birth place was Schale, Meckienburg Germany, August 12, 1845. When about twenty-three years old she married Dietrich Kamlage and came at once to America to the township of Schaumburg, Cook County, where they engaged in farming. A daughter and three sons were born to them, all are now living. Over thirty years ago Mr. Kamlage died and she was later married to George Buehler who also lived in Schaumburg.
For twenty-six years she had lived on the farm on the Lake Zurich road near Pomeroy's woods, a quite life full of good deeds for her family and neighbors. Two years ago (they) came to town to live and Mr. Buehler died that summer.
The children are Mrs. Ahlgrim, George Buehler of this place, August of Diamond Lake, Mrs. William Schumacher and Garret Kamlage of Cuba Township, Theodore Kamlage of Belvidere and Fred of Elgin.
The Funeral was Tuesday afternoon at St. Pauls church with Rev. G. H. Stanger in attendance and interment was in the Main Street Cemetery.
