David was born about Feb. 1781, the son of Stephen Blackwell and Rachel Hunt. He was born, presumably, in Hopewell Twp., Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co., NJ, where his parents lived. He married Jemima H. Burroughs on 6 Jan. 1808 in old Hunterdon Co., NJ. He died in Hopewell Twp., Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co., NJ.
