Cozens Read is my 6 x great grandfather and he and his wife Elizabeth Shirley had twenty children. There is the possibility that there are 21 children but it is at the time of the change in calendar dates so is not clear.
He was a Churchwarden at St. Nicholas Church, Nether Winchendon for a number of years and was also an Overseer of the Poor for a time.
Cozens Read was also a farmer and his home/farm which was built before 1670 is still in use now.
