Mrs. Ruby Lee Barnes Hallman, 95, passed away late Wednesday evening, June 1, 2005, at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Alma.
A native of Ben Hill County, she had lived in Pierce County for most of her life. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Golden Age Sunday School Class. She was a daughter of the late Jimmie & Rody Troupe Barnes and was also preceded in death by her husband, David L. Hallman; by her two sons, Lander J. Boatright and Holder L. Boatright; a great grandson, Walt Clough; a sister, Emma Lou King and by her two brothers, Simon Barnes and Fred Barnes.
Survivors are eight grandchildren, Gale (Ruby) White and Larry (Judy) Boatright all of Alma, Dale (Melvin) Waters of Nichols, Bobbi Clough of Blackshear, Mary Lee (Randy) Burger of Lilburn, Susie Yeomans, Linda (J. R.) Miles and Wallace (Carol) Boatright all of Mershon; 25 great grandchildren, 34 Great, great grandchildren; her two daughters-n-law, Doris Boatright of Mershon and Eleanor Boatright of Brunswick and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hallman will be held Saturday morning, June 4, 2005, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Treadwell Chapel.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Hallman will be held Friday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
