Mary Collum, 97, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Avalon Place. She was born June 20, 1903, in Maud, Okla., to Clayton and Minnie Jane Tiffin. She married Oscar Collum March 27, 1920, in Maud. They moved to Odessa in December 1941. Mrs. Collum was a homemaker and a member of Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar Collum in April 1974; daughters, Inez Collum, Lucille Miller and Alma Pradon; and a son, Harold Collum. She is survived by daughters, Virginia Gesch and Mary Christian, both of Odessa, Bonnie Appelt of Hallettsville, Ruth Emerson and Phenone Hunt, both of Port Lavaca; 29 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, April 6, 2001, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Scott Sprouse officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.
