Obituary for Mrs. J.E. Haley
Mrs. Martha E. Haley was born September 24, 1877; died February 18, 1934 at her home in Clarksville, Texas.
She was married in 1895 to J. E. Haly. To this union were born four children. Two died in infancy. The others, Mrs. R. J. Boatwright of Paris, Texas and Mrs. R. P. Jemison of Fort Worth, Texas are left with her husband, four granddaughters, and other relatives to mourn the passing of a dear one.
Mrs. Haley was converted and joined the Methodist Church in early childhood. She lived loyal to it and her God. She was a wonderful, loving mother, a fathful and true wife.
During her illness she was patient, gentle, kind. She told us before she went not to grieve but to be glad the time was nearly here for her to go to that rest from which she will awake only when Jesus descends from heaven and awakens the dead who are in Christ. Then shall be brought to pass the saying, O death where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
