She was the sister of Eduardo De Filippo and Peppino De Filippo and debuted on stage as a child. She worked with Totò, at the Teatro Nuovo di Napoli in the Compagnia Stabile Napoletana Molinari directed by Enzo Aulicino. In 1931 she founded with her two brothers Theatre Umoristico I De Filippo, who debuted on December 25 with the comedy "Natale in casa Cupiello", written by Eduardo, who also wrote for her the classical theater Filumena Marturano (1946) led to the theater 1950.
