My Uncle Murl on my mother's side. He always called my sister and I Sam. Didn't matter if we were both there, we had that special nickname from him. Always enjoyed visiting their house. They had a large pit next to the house that they would let people come and dump their junk into it. Filled it in over the years and is now a nice green lot. Their house is gone now...but the lot is there and I can think back to all of the fun times there. When my uncle died...my aunt had never really been without him for over 50 years....she said it just wasn't right. She joined him just a month later...they had a true love for each other and her heart was broken with him gone.
