William "Minor" Lewis 7/27/1874 - 12/8/1921.

He was the son of John F Lewis, Sr & Lavinia Ruth Butts Lewis.

He had several siblings (Elijah, Eva, Robert, Sherebiah (namesake of Capt Sherebiah Butts of the Revolutionary War), John Jr, Martha, & Pearl - Minor was the youngest. His oldest brother, Elijah Banks Lewis is buried in Felton Cemetery (he has his own family plot).

He married Christine Patrick Lewis (later to become Baldwin) on 5/20/1903. They raised their family in the DeVaughn-Lewis-Richardson Historical House (he until his death in 1921) from 1913-1935.
He was one partner with his father John F Lewis, Sr's business (John F Lewis & Sons).
He gave the land to Montezuma on which the first school was built, built the Minor Hotel (several other bulidings as well) in Montezuma. His last enterprise was to build Miona Springs. In 1880 he built a mill house where the concrete bridge is on crossing to the other side of the town of Montezuma.

He & Christine had 2 daughters, Christine Lavinia Lewis Hicks & Louise Lewis McKenzie.
