Mrs. Jewel Alice McNeer Aldy, longtime resident of Durant, died Sunday, March 2 at District Two Community Hospital in Durant. She was 77.
A native of Holmes County, she was born on October 7, 1908. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 4 at 10:00 a.m. in Southern Funeral Home Chapel of Durant with the Rev. J.W. Lancaster officiating. Burial followed in Mizpah Cemetery of Durant.
Survivors include her husband, Clay Aldy of Durant; one sister, Mrs. Eloise Ellington of Durant; and one brother, Rev. M. E. McNeer of Durant.

Pallbearers were Johnny McNeer, Maxie McNeer, Danny McNeer, Alton McNeer, Johnny McCrory and Herbert Farmer.
