Lillian Barton Swenson, 76, died July 1, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born March 5, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edgar Marion Barton and Flavilla Josephine Tuft Barton. Married Richard Heber Swenson on Nov. 20, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Primary President of the East 27th Ward, and served in the Relief Society for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor. She enjoyed sewing and crafts.Survived by husband, Richard H. Swenson, Salt Lake City; daughter, Jeniel (Brent) Metcalf, Medical Lake, Washington; son, O. Richard (Betty) Swenson, Renton, Washington; sisters, Norma (Ben) Warren, Ogden, Beth Bell, Chino, California; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Allan Edgar Barton; and sister, Laura Barton Holmes.
Funeral services will be held Thurs., July 6, 2000, at 12 noon, at Wasatch 1st Ward, 1750 So. 15th E. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, and at the ward one hour prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Lawn.
