Solomon married Sarah (went by Sally) Clark (1795-1860) in c1815 at Oneida County, New York. The family moved to Indiana, arriving at Crawford County in 1819. Solomon and Sally were the parents of nine known children, namely:

2. Mary Jane Rothrock Lynch (1818-1903)
3. Philo Rothrock (1821-1904)
4. Amos Rothrock (1823-1906)
5. Margaret Rothrock (1825-1843)
6. Alexander Rothrock (1829-1849)
7. Louis Rothrock (1830-1906)
8. Joseph Rothrock (1834-1871)
9. Rebeca Lydia Rothrock Lynch (1837-1897)
Solomon was a Veteran of the War of 1812. The family arrived at Crawford County, Indiana in 1819. A few years later Solomon moved further upstream (on the Blue River) and built a saw mill, grist mill, and distillery at Dukes Bend of the Blue River, in Harrison County, Indiana. His brother Henry Peter, remained at Wyandotte and took over operation of the mill there. In 1850 the family (parents, Amos, Lewis, Joseph and Rebecca was living at Harrison County, Indiana with Solomon listed as a miller. In 1860 the parents, along with grandchildren Margaret Rothrock and Julius Rothrock were living at Spencer Township, Harrison County, Indiana.
We are very fortunate to have links to both of Solomon's parents, his wife, all nine of his known children and both of his known siblings, as included below.
