Mr. Harold O. Batte, age 73, a resident of Story Road in West Point, TN, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, at Crockett Hospital.

The Richton, MS, native was the son of the late Ersey David and Wrennie McClain Batte. He served our country with the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #146 in Loretto, TN. Mr. Batte was a welder in construction work.

Mr. Batte is survived by a daughter: Mechelle Renee (Corby) Schultz of Broken Arrow, OK ; a brother: Lee Batte (Doris) of Hurley, MS; grandchildren: Brandi Register and Brittany Register of Loretto, TN, Jessica Ford of Broken Arrow, OK; great-grandchildren: Armond Daubenspeck, Hunter Edmondson of Lawrenceburg, TN, Peyton Hamilton of Nashville, Jaxen Mills of Loretto, TN and Levi Mills of Lawrenceburg, TN. He was preceded in death by a sister: Lurline (Johnny) Graham.

Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post # 146, 2906 Hwy 43 S, Loretto, TN 38469.
