DOYLE - James Edward, 65, New Florence, died May 9, 1987, at home. Born July 4, 1921, in Johnstown, son of late James J. and Edna P. (Collins) Doyle. Survived by widow, former Evelyn G. Shannon; and son, Dennis, married to former Ann Antonikas, Johnstown; also four grandchildren: Thomas Joseph, Jason Scott, Candace P. and Kimberly A. Brother of William J., New Florence. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Florence. Retired superintendent of maintenance at Florence Mining Company. Member of Council 3624 Knights of Columbus, Blairsville. World War II Army veteran. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. Father John Wilt. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. Wake service at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home.
