Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, AJ Reavis, Winona Lemons Reavis and stepmother, Bernice Tunstall Reavis.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Riffe Reavis; his children, Virginia (Reavis) Tintera of Austin, son-in-law Jack Tintera of Austin, Texas, Jay Reavis of San Antonio, Texas and Gary Reavis of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Amy, Laura, John, Scott and James Tintera, and Tessa and Jessica Reavis. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Sidney Brashears and Lincoln Tintera. He is survived by his sisters Betty (Reavis) Morlan, Joann Tunstall Alexander, Joyce Tunstall Richardson, Charlene Tunstall Olbrich and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy spent 20 years in the US Air Force serving in Australia, The Philippine Islands, and across the United States. He retired from Randolph AFB and had a wide circle of friends in the area. He was an active member of the Windcrest United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men's group. He served as a Grand Master and was active for years in the Randolph Area Masonic Lodge.
He loved to cook and entertain for friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all.
Services will be held at Windcrest Methodist Church on Monday, May 24th at 9:30 AM, a graveside service with military honors to follow at Fort Sam Houston cemetery. The service will be followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations to the music program at Windcrest United Methodist Church.
