Hollywood child actress who started her life in commercials (Chrysler) being the first and followed by several others. She won parts in "Machine Gun Kelly", "The FBI Story" for Warner Bros. Lori went on to appear in several popular television series at the time, before the age of 12.In 1960, having taken part in auditions for a television series that was to run for 54 episodes, she changed her name from Dawn Catherine Menzer to Lori Martin and became a household name in "National Velvet" In 1962, with the series pulled, she appeared in "Cape Fear" with Gregory Peck. After that she made several more films and television appearances finding time also to release some records, featuring her talented voice.In 1970 she put her career on hold and later married, having a son. Lori once said, "When I grow up I want to be normal" and that she was.
Sadly after the death of her husband Charles of cancer in 1999 Lori suffered from ill health which led up to her taking her own life.
