Chet was born February 7, 1915 in Seattle, to Norris and Jensina (Vik) Finnestad.
He lived in Seattle, Kingston and Sedro-Woolley.
He was an avid hockey fan and served as President of the Seattle Totem Booster Club. He was also president of the Kingston Senior Center and was elected Man of the Year.
Chet is survived by his four daughters, Virginia Ridgway, of Palm Springs, California, Eileen Lewis (Chet Lacy), of Shoreline, Washington, Pamela Narron (Ward), of Mount Vernon, Vicki Dyer (Tom), of Seattle, Washington; his son, Gary Finnestad (Allison Grove), of Yosemite, California; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and his extended family at Mira Vista Care Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Margaret (1992); his dear friend, Marguerite Coleman (2002); his brother, Dean Finnestad; and sisters, Thelma Olin and Nellie Finnestad.
The family asks that any remembrances be made in Chet's name to Mira Vista Care Center, Mount Vernon, Washington in appreciation of their loving care.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
Chet will be laid to rest with his wife at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle.
