Aletha Gifford Cannon, age 87, passed away peacefully 29 May 2010 while surrounded by her family at Riverton Hospital in Riverton, Utah. She resided at 13560 South 2140 West in Riverton, Utah at the time of her death.

She was born 2 October, 1922 to Althera and Samuel Kendall Gifford in Springdale, Utah.

Married Hugh Woolley Cannon on 5 May 1939. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Preceded in death by parents, husband, eight brothers and sisters, and grandson, Gregory Lynn Cannon. Survived by brother Avard Larkin (Ruth) Gifford, Lehi, Utah; children, James (Linda) Cannon, Riverton; Barbara (Bryan) Wittwer, Grantsville; Darrell (Debra) Cannon, Riverton; Ken (Kathy) Cannon, Bluffdale; Shirlene (Bernd) Kohnlein, Riverton; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010 in the Riverton, Utah Stake Center, 1855 West 13400 South.
Interment-Riverton Cemetery.
A viewing will be held two hours prior to the services from 10:00-11:45 a.m.
