Ashtabula Star Beacon, November 30, 1949: Geneva, OH: Perry W. Higgins, 75, died Tuesday at his home after having been in failing health for five years. A resident of the village for 37 years, Mr. Higgins was a former meat market and grocery owner. He retired in 1944. A member of West Williamsfield Congregational Church, Mr. Higgins was also a member of the Modern Woodmen and Macabee Lodges. Four children preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Enolia; 2 daughters: Mrs. Rheta Ford and Mrs. Leah Fowler - Geneva; 3 sisters: Mrs. Louise Snyder - Stoneboro; Mrs. Sylvia Storier - Andover; and Mrs. Belle Grinnell - Meadville; one brother - Lee - Youngstown; 3 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Friday at Webster Funeral Home, Geneva; with Rev. John B. Arthur - Epsicopal Church - officiating. Burial will be in the Andover Cemetery (Maple Grove).
