Adrienne M. Henry, 84, of Sanford, died on Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Newton Center in Sanford.
Adrienne was born in Sanford on April 15, 1926 to Napolean and Alice (Morneau) Alexandre and attended local schools.
Adrienne came from a very large family. As the oldest daughter of 19 children, Adrienne devoted a lot of time to helping care for her younger siblings. In 1950 she married Robert E. Henry and they would spend the next 56 years together until his death in 2006.
Adrienne was employed for over 30 years at Tenneford Weaving in Sanford. She was a communicant of St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish Sanford/Springvale. Family was very important to Adrienne and she always enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are three children, Julie Sawyer and her husband Ron of Yarmouth, Steve Henry and his wife Kathy of Springvale and Christine Libby and her husband Matt of New Durham, NH; five grandchildren, Desiree Henry, Beau Henry, Grant Henry, Katlyn Davidson and her husband Andy and Cameron Libby; three step-grandchildren, Kristyn McDonough, Kimberly Sullivan and Tomas Sullivan and many brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Friday, June 4th at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, St. Ignatius Church located on St. Ignatius Street in Sanford. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home in Sanford.
