After graduation from the Police Academy, he was assigned to the Central Patrol Division. He later transferred to the Traffic Division where he was an
Accident Investigator. He became a Motorcycle Officer and rode for 11 years. Upon his promotion to Sergeant, he was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division. He was
severely injured in a line of duty automobile accident as he was travelling to aid another officer on August 29, 1992. He has remained hospitalized since the accident, living for the last seven years at the Dallas Home for the Jewish Aged, Golden Acres Campus. Awards included numerous citizen commendations, supervisors commendations, two Police
