February 7, 1925 - January 6, 2004 Died at the age of 78 at home in Walnut Creek after a long battle with cancer.

Frances was born on February 7, 1925 in Columbus, Indiana, to Frank C. Dahn and Lulu Gresham. She lived in Oakland prior to moving to Lafayette with her husband of 40 years, Herbert Berndt.

Frances was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and worked at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek. She loved her pets, reading poetry and traveling.

Frances is survived by her devoted son, Randall H. Berndt and 4 loving grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert in 1996.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 4, 2004 at the Alamo/Lafayette Cemetery, 3285 Mt. Diablo Blvd in Lafayette.
