On the evening of May 26, 2010, the angels came to take our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother to her final reward in Heaven. Cecilia Goretski, formerly of Stevens Point, was called to her eternal home at her Tigerton, Wisconsin, residence, with her family at her side. She was full of spirit, but her body was unable to keep up with her, and will be remembered as a loving, caring woman who touched many hearts.

Cecilia was born on All Saints Day, November 1, 1917, the daughter of the late August Kostus, Sr. and Mary (Pawlak) Kostus. She married Edward Goretski, Sr. on June 29, 1935, and dedicated her life to raising a family of nine boys and three girls. Church and family were the most important parts of her life. She found time to not only raise her family of twelve, but also to provide service to the church where she was actively involved in choir and assisting with the many activities of St. Ann's Society.

Cecilia enjoyed gardening and loved her many flowers. She always had a soft spot in her heart for animals, and enjoyed feeding her chickens, which at one time numbered over 100. She loved the many dogs she had during her life, especially "Pupa", her current dog, also known as Socks.

Cecilia loved dancing, polka music, shopping, going to rummage sales, and playing pinochle. She also took great pride in keeping her house neat and clean. She will be remembered for her strong faith in God, praying the rosary and giving to those less fortunate than herself. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, who realize the blessing is that she is no longer in pain, and that Heaven will now be much cleaner.

Cecilia is survived by her sons: Richard (Delores), Gary (Jean), Dennis, Lee (Sandy), Ralph and Marv; her daughters, Janice, Marie and Carole; one sister, Eleanor Kosobucki; her grandchildren, Gayle, Alan, Matt, Rodney, Roy, Queena, Lisa, Michelle, Jerry, Randy, Dawn, Amanda, Jay, Felicia, Keith, Laurie, Leslie, Lori, Tanya, Mike and Brian; her great-grandchildren, Emily, Chad, Bryce, Aaron, John, Jason, Monica, Ashley, Kayla, Ryan, Taren, Teagan, Tiana, Nicole, Tony, Tiffany, Amber, Brittany, Sheldon, Paige, Samantha, Autumn, Stephanie, Shawna, Gage, Destiny, LeAnn, Beth, Melissa, Kelly, Jessica, Jamie, Katie, Josh, Charlie, Kameron, Hayden-Cecilia, Jared, Connor, Ashton, Kurtis, Faith, Tobie, Jessica, Makenna, Ashton, Jayden; and her great-great grandchildren, Brittany, Emily, Lexie, Joshua, Cecilia-Jeannette, Conlin, Savanah, Isabel, Connor, and Ellyn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Edward, Jr., Eugene and Maynard; son-in-law, Gregory Woyak; daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Adamski) Goretski and grandchildren, Kelly Goretski, Don Goman, and Vernon Goman.
